Accounting 201 - Te Tiake Pūtea 201

This course prepares students to use accounting software and other tools that are relevant in the modern business world. It includes advanced tools for managing the vital components of business such as accounts receivables and inventory. It also leads to the understanding of financial statements and their analysis for a business.

In this course students will:

• Process financial transactions and create reports with the help of software.
• Prepare advanced financial statements such as an income statement for the year and analyse them.
• Research and write a report on managing accounts receivable and inventory.
• Explore the role of Accounting in Environmental Sustainability through a case study and field trip to Yealands.

This course may be offered at MBC or through online learning.
