Do you know what rights you have as a student in New Zealand? Do you know who has control over your life and your body? Do you know who has fought for human rights in the past? This course is a history based course all about our human rights. Students will learn about their rights and responsibilities today as well as the many struggles for human rights in the past.
In this Social Science course we will cover many interesting contexts from the Holocaust during WWII, the development of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the fight against the use of the death penalty in places like the USA to Malala Yousafzai and her campaign for girls to have the right to education.
This course is for those people who like learning about history and enjoyed classes like Year 9 LAW and WAR
