Course Description

Ever wondered how you can make sense of numbers? You will learn how to apply number skills to real-life, meaningful problems. This could involve travel around New Zealand and/or throughout the world. You will have the opportunity to interact with numeracy concepts in a way that will help you remember whilst developing a deeper understanding of the basics. This course is based on practical contexts which have been chosen to allow you to develop general problem solving (or strategic) skills in areas of activity such as designing and making, planning and organising, and choosing. This course is invitation only.

  • Use number strategies to solve everyday problems. 
  • Learn how to use everyday fractions and percents. 
  • Use the four operations to solve problems.
