Course Description

This course is designed for those students who want to use Mathematics in everyday contexts and gain the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Numeracy Component. This course does not continue with mathematics to higher levels.  

You will learn to:

  • Use measurement to solve problems.
  • Interpret statistical information for a purpose.
  • Use number to solve problems.
  • Produce a balanced budget to manage personal finances.

It is recommended that students have a scientific calculator, ideally a Casio FX82.
