Course Description

This course is intended for students who enjoy a wide variety of texts and who would like to take English at Level 3. You will have the opportunity to study a range of literature, write creatively and to make connections between texts and the wider world. Key intentions of the course are to strengthen your enjoyment of reading, to develop your critical thinking, and to enhance your ability to write a range of text types from short stories to essays. Based on your strengths in English, and with the guidance of your teacher, you will choose two of the three externally assessed achievement standards to sit.
