Course Description

This course is designed to prepare the student for the study of mathematics, pure and applied sciences or engineering at a tertiary level. The focus is on calculus, with students encountering algebra and trigonometry topics, as well as the manipulation of real and complex numbers and geometry and conic sections.

You will learn how to:

  • Apply trigonometric methods in solving problems.
  • Apply systems of simultaneous equations in solving problems.
  • Apply the algebra of complex numbers in solving problems.
  • Apply differentiation methods in solving problems.
  • Apply integration methods in solving problems.

This course requires a large amount of independent study to ensure success in the three external assessments.
