Textile and Fashion Technology 301 - Te Hangarau Pūeru ā te Tāera Kākahu 301
Course Description
This course prepares students for designing in the real world. They will explore applied design techniques to create their own fabric or to enhance their designs. They will work creatively to reflect on and analyse their work plus use complex construction techniques to create garments or textile items/products. Portfolio evidence will be collected throughout the technological process. Our programme aims to develop in-depth problem solving skills through design thinking, risk taking, collaboration and intelligent failure.
This is a University Entrance approved subject and will be beneficial to students who are interested in areas where critical thinking, creativity and innovation are important qualities.
