English for Second Language Learners

This course is for students who wish to have a better understanding of written and spoken English. It involves listening and reading comprehension, further development of the essential vocabulary list and learning how to use functional language in everyday life.  Learning English grammar and the structures of English are covered in this course. We also focus on developing fluency in spoken English. All assessment in this course is internally assessed, using both unit standards and achievement standards. We aim to ensure that students obtain their Level 1 Literacy credits.
