9 Lean, Green and Mean 1

Homes need to be energy efficient to save both money and the environment. You will explore key concepts about energy and energy conservation, different methods of electricity generation and renewable and non-renewable energy sources. By applying scientific principles to a creative thinking process, students will gain an understanding of how energy saving ideas can be applied to real life situations. In this course you will learn:  

• What is energy? 
• What are the principles of energy transformation? 
• How is heat transferred, such as convection, conduction and radiation? 
• How can we use design to create a warm and energy efficient building?
